Sorry guys, I've looked and could not find an answer on this.

I tried to upgrade to 1.6.0-RC3 and because I had an old version of joomla installation was halted.

Now the forum is offline and and I have no control on how to restore it.
From the joomla/admin/components menu I only see the failed installation screen.
There is no option to cancel and exit the installer.

Is it time to restore from backups?

Hello,

What requirements has failed ?
Since what version are you upgrading ?

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

I say that joomla version failed. I have 1.5.15
Current kunena is 1.5.9

The only reason I want to upgrade is to be able to change dates to EU format. But reading further gave me the impression that still is not possible without source editing.

Anyway, I'm restoring backup to get the site up and running like before.

Why not upgrade from J! 1.5.15 -> J! 1.5.20. It takes about 2 minutes.

Yes, I will perform the joomla upgrade. But it was weird for an installation to alter something because some requirements did not meet.

Joomla 1.5 doesn't support fallback on component installation -- so there's no way to go around this.

I can take a look if we can improve installation, though..
