I'm sorry to hear that you have had some problem installing K 1.6. I wonder if you can be a little more specific in defining what you have done. I examined your website and you appear to have a well-running Kunena forum at the moment, although there isn't any real content in it at the moment. This really begs the question: what do you mean by the upgrade destroying your forum?

The next question is, from what did you upgrade to K 1.6? Was it a previous version of Kunena or was it something else (like phpBB or Fireboard or some other forum software)? Do you have a backup of your old site/forum/whatever you were using? Can you provide more information about how you upgraded? Did you migrate your old forum or did you, instead, uninistall and delete your old forum and then install K 1.6? Without knowing how you went about the "upgrade" that you performed, it's difficult to know how you got yourself into the situation that you now find yourself in. As the saying goes, "you can't tell which way the train went by just looking at the tracks."

I would revert to the backup that you took before you upgraded and let's proceed from that stable premise first to make sure you don't encounter the same problems the second time around. Does that sound like a workable option to you? :)

Thank you for getting back to me.

I originally tried to upgrade last week, but because i didnt have joomla 1.5.20, i had to upgrade this first (the kunena upgrade failed because of this and my forums were down for a few days)

Today i finally managed to upgrade to joomla 1.5.20, and went back to my kunena page in joomla, where it asked me to continue with my upgrade, so i followed the instructions and did this. It also did ask me if i wanted it to back my site up and i said yes.

Then after the installation, i looked at my forum and it now ways the bog standard 'welcome to kunena' with the welcome mat. I had already built a forum and it has dissapeared, this is not my forum.

I would try to restore the forum with the backup, but i cant find instructions anywhere on how to do this. I've been searching on google and on here....

Do you know what the best thing is to do please?

Thanks
