Hello,

The Kunena 1.6 RC2 installer is refusing to work due to an erroneous requirements check failure on my Joomla version:

REQUIREMENTS CHECK: FAILED - Minimum version requirements not satisfied
PHP version: 5.2.14 (Required >= 5.2.3)
MySQL version: 5.1.48 (Required >= 4.1.19)
Joomla version: 1.5.9 (Required >= 1.5.19)

Please assist, as I'm trying to upgrade in order to acquire polling functionality as soon as possible

Thanks!

Another thing, my forum is currently offline, and whenever I try to access the old component to put the forum back online, it takes me to the requirements error page :(

You need PHP version 5.2.3 or above. You need Joomla 1.5.19 or above. These things are written about in the Technical Requirements .

The K 1.6 installer takes your forum offline. Theoretically you should be able to put your forum back online again by changing your configuration settings in the backend. I don't know why you don't seem to be able to make that change and I'm not sure what you need to do about it. I'll try to get an answer for you

Please upgrade your Joomla version from 1.5.9 to 1.5.19 or higher (currently 1.5.20) and you will be fine.

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)

I am having the same error.

REQUIREMENTS CHECK: FAILED - Minimum version requirements not satisfied
PHP version: 5.2.14 (Required >= 5.2.3)
MySQL version: 5.0.91-log (Required >= 4.1.19)
Joomla version: 1.5.15 (Required >= 1.5.20)

I tried to upgrade my joomla but somehow after upgrading to joomla v. 1.5.21, the backend still shows 1.5.15. Don't understand why... :(

Hello,

are-you sure that you have replace all files provided in update package ?

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Kunena is getting Joomla version from Joomla itself -- what's your version?

So you must have something wrong in your Joomla installation.. Check that all the files are writable before you upgrade, and use full package instead of patch (just remember to remove installation directory).
