Question Kunena 1.7 not showing on webpage nor controls on backend. Help!

I have installed Kunena 1.7 and do not see it on my web page. It only shows a small white space where it should appear. I am confused as to how to set it up and make it work. Do you have any suggestions on step-by-step instructions for idiots?

I don't have any controls on the backend either (or I just don't know how to find them).

My website is Joomla, Joomlart template IV, hosted at CloudAccess...working from server not locally.

G'day, Susan, and welcome to Kunena.
I'm not sure where to start with this because I don't know what you know about Joomla or Kunena or what instructions you may have read.
Perhaps we should start with the FAQs that appears on the menu tab at the top of this page/ That's a good place to start and work your way through any issues that may help you.

Okay, none of the FAQs address my issues. I know some about Joomla. Have been using it to build a site. I can send you the link and login info if that will help. I have been trying to find answers to this by reading forums for three days. I know I must be missing something really simple.

Hi
I am new to Joomla but have been using it for a couple of weeks now and feel I know my way around pretty good. I have been creating a website using a Joomla template and have had good success so far.
I have uninstalled Kunena 1.7 and reinstalled, but only to find the same result.
I can get to Kunena Control Panel and work inside it, creating categories, etc.
Clicked Create Menu and got:
“The Kunena navigation menu and main forum link have been created.”
I am not sure what that means.
Anyway, I have attached a pic of how Kunena shows up when placed in position on my Joomla template.
Can anyone help?
