Anyone help with this strange problem....????

I am using Joomla 1.6 and have split my site into 3 different "sections". Each "section" is assigned a different version of the same template (Colours being used, different logos etc.

Like everything else when I create a new menu item I NEED to tell it that that the link will use a specific template, ie the template the "section" is using.

Doing this has worked a treat for every other component EXCEPT Kunena. Having done all of the above when I click on the link to the forum the forum shows on the default template with the default templates menu.

What am I missing or what is wrong and how do I solve it????

TO see what I mean..... goto - HERE click on community and then forum. When you click in it you SHOULD see the forum opening up in the same template as you saw before clicking it. However what actually happen is that it opens up in another template, which happens to be the default template.

Just in case someone else gets this "problem", in a moment of inspiration when I wasnt even thinking about the problem, I stumbled upon the reason it was doing it.

All my settings were correct, my menu link WAS assigned properly, the template was checked to be properly assigned in the template manager and the main menu for the template was assigned correctly, EVERYTHING had been done as per the manuals instructions and as per I had done EVERY other link and component.

But I didnt reckon on one thing..... Kunena has a menu doesnt it.... designed to be shown in the component.... Kunena's menu must override the menus assignment......I simply had to assign Kunenas menu to the template too.

Problem solved.

Feel stupid for not "getting it sooner" but happy that the "penny finally dropped" LOL !!!!
