Hello and thanks for such a fantastic forum script! I'm not sure this is the proper place to post but I don't locate a category specific to my issue.
My Kunena is working perfectly and even integrating with JomSocial perfectly to show latest forum posts. My problem is with the text block background and/or text color as it currently light on light just in this particular area. www.318curves.com
I've worked for several hours trying to find a solution and am finally resorting to seeking outside help and will more than appreciate any suggestions. The installation is Kunena version 1.6.4 and using Blue Eagle template set to bond with Joomla template.
Thanks again for any suggestions.

G'day, Hueman, and welcome to Kunena.

What "particular area" are you talking about and is this a Kunena or JomSocial matter? I do not see any colour issues with your Kunena forum.

Thanks for your reply. If you take a look at www.318curves.com you'll see where MyKunena imported the latest forum activity into JomSocial. The background is white and the text is white so the text box appears to be empty. It seems to be an issue with the styling for the plugin. There is no problem with either the forum itself or with JomSocial. I just can't figure out how to either change that background or the text so it's readable.
Thanks much for your help. I hope all my terminology is correct.

I should have added that the issue appears on the front page of the website under "Recent Activities" as well as on user's profile pages under the same heading.

Thanks.

I cannot find "My Kunena" at your site; I'm sorry but I don't know a lot about JomSocial and maybe I should not be getting involved in this topic. I just want to know whether the page you get, after you go to the "My Kunena" link (wherever that is), is generated by Kunena or is it generated by JomSocial?

Maybe if you posted a picture of the page then I will be able to tell you what it is that builds it.

I'm posting a clip of the Recent Activity area and one showing the plugins. You can see that the posts that are imported from the forum are with white backgrounds while the posts created with JomSocial are on dark background. MyKunena is installed and enabled in plugins. I know... it's a head scratcher.

Thank you. At last I can see what the problem is.

You posted your question in the K 1.6 Support category. I would remind you (and others reading this topic) to pay attention to the posting quidelines printed at the top of the pages in the K 1.6 Support category:

Guide to posting questions

This category is for:

  • Kunena 1.6 issues only. For a faster response, please make sure you include your K 1.6 configuration report. Please read the guides posted as sticky topics in this category.
  • if your Kunena forum does not work for you in the same way as it does here at this website.
Do not use this category:
  • to request a change to the standard behaviour of Kunena.
  • if your question of a commonly asked "how to" nature
  • if you are not using the latest stable release of Kunena
There are issues with installing or using K 1.6.x in Joomla 1.6 at this time. Some of these issues are show-stoppers if users are considering Joomla 1.6 to run their production websites. Many of these issues will be fixed in future versions of Joomla.

General hints: How To Ask Questions The Smart Way

Your problem does not involve Kunena functionality. Your problem concerns some general CSS issues with your site template that affect how the output generated by JomSocial is displayed. We're not here to point the finger at whether JomSocial has a problem or whether Kunena has a problem. Our task is to assist users with issues that arise from the standard software built by the Kunena project and that is the purpose of the K 1.6 Support category.

My task as a forum moderator is deciding the best way to address the issue.

You have a problem caused by your site template that is affecting the display of output generated by JomSocial. I have changed the subject of this topic and moved it to the K 1.6 Template and Design category. I don't know much about JomSocial templates but it shouldn't be too difficult to find the issue with a tool like Firebug . Perhaps another member of the community, who knows about JomSocial matters, can assist you.
