Question Kunena Menu Gets Chopped- Sometimes

More

Hi!

Whenever I follow a link to a thread, either from the kunena latest module, or from within kunena using a "last" post link, the menu gets chopped off! As shown here:

It never happens when accessing the forum or a post any other way, just when using a last or latest link function.

Any suggestions? Config pasted below.

fader8:

(1) If you are going to modify your K 1.6 configuration report then you might as well not post your K 1.6 configuration report.

(2) Please read the very important information about running Joomla 1.5 websites with legacy mode . Kunena 1.6 has not been tested with Joomla 1.5 legacy mode; the release program for K 1.6 means that Kunena will not, in future, be tested under J! 1.5 with legacy mode enabled. If you should experience problems as a result of using legacy mode then you will have to sort those out for yourself. Please note, there is no official guarantee about using legacy mode; this point has been made many, many times before. See also Legacy mode in the Wiki for further information.

(2) You have not implemented Joomla SEO. If you would like to know how to implement SEO, please read Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) in the Wiki. SEO not only makes things easier for you, it actually improves the security of your website! ;)

(3) Please read K 1.6 Technical Requirements . Your specific problem(s), at this time, is/are caused by your Joomla site template (designed and developed by JoomlArt and you really should direct your enquiries to the support forum at the JoomlArt website. You can probably fix the template layout issues by using a tool such as Firebug for Firefox. Alternatively you can change your site template and you will not have that problem.

(4) If you continue to have problems with the Aphotic template, you will need to contact the developer of the Aphotic template. Our main role here is to assist people with problems that they may encounter with the Blue Eagle (default) template.

I deleted the "confidential" info since this is a publicly accessible site. That seemed only prudent since most of my site content is NOT publicly accessible, ie only clients and co-workers under non-disclosure agreements.

Please read the very important information about running Joomla 1.5 websites with legacy mode .

That's good info, thanks! May be the source of some other persnickety issues. I'm presently replacing the last the components/plugs that required legacy mode, so this won't be a problem. If I may, I'd suggest a mention of this in your readme file, and/or on your download page.

You have not implemented Joomla SEO.

I was not aware that SEO would provide additional security. I'll have to research that. Since we have no need to be found via search engines, SEO and SEF has always seemed irrelevant. Is some aspect of Kunena's operation dependent on SEO being enabled? There's no mention of this in your readme file.

I suspected as much, thanks! When a message such as "Your message has been successfully posted" appears, the menu is truncated in an identical fashion.
