Hello,

I've installed the Kunena forum and everything works fine.

However I want to delete the Hover text option off, because I want people to click on the topic and not read it via the hover option.

Hope you have a solution.

Cheers,

Rene

Hi,

I also need to turn this option off. I am using JV-Content-Links which converts common keywords into internal links from Joomla Articles and Kunena. While the hover text is being send it breaks the page .

Thanks very much

Hi,

I really need to turn this option off. I am using JV-Content-Links which converts common keywords into internal links from Joomla Articles and Kunena. While the hover text is being send it breaks the page.

Is there a way to do this without hacking? You can see the problem here :

Thanks very much

No, there is not a way to do this without hacking. This is a standard behaviour of Kunena.

I find this feature very useful when I am moderating this forum. Every day I read about 50-60 new messages posted here (it takes me between 5-8 hours to get through them all) and, if you only had the topic subject to go by, I want to get a quick idea of what the topics are about before I enter the discussions.

If people always used meaningful topic subjects (like the one used in this topic) we wouldn't have too many problems. However, when people use subjects like "Help me please, urgent" or "I have a problem" there's not much else to go with, is there? Being able to read the first 30 words can be a real time-saver when I am prioritising my forum "work", as I'm sure you could imagine.

I'm not saying that this idea can't be accomplished - although I don't know how to do it - I'm just saying that it's not achieved by a simple on/off configuration setting. Maybe it should be done that way? Leave the hover feature "on" by default and turn it off if you don't need it.

The real problem, as you have shown by giving us the link to your website, is not that the hover feature is on. The real problem is that your site template has done something very peculiar in rendering the tooltip text as visible page content. I think I've seen this issue before ( Kunena topic shows part of message ).
