Question "icon_unanswered"

Is there a way to suppress the display of the telephone icon that seems to signify that a post has no replies?

I've searched this forum and all the component settings - can't fin an answer. I don't really want to resort to "tricking" it with a plain white square to replace the phone icon image

Other than that - have to say the whole thing is a great improvement since I tried it about 18 months ago. Excellent

I'm sorry. I haven't seen this "telephone icon" anywhere. Where do you see this thing? Is this a question for the Kunena project? :S

I'm sorry, that's not something that I'm familiar with. Can you see this "telephone icon" on a standard installation of Kunena, like here www.kunena.org (for example)? Looks like this is some customised template to me. Where did you get the template from? You probably need to talk the matter over with whoever designed your Kunena template, I think.

To me, even though I haven't seen this feature before, the idea actually looks quite attractive.

No - the Kunene set-up is straight out of the box with the default template, no changes have been made other than through all the config/setup setings - the site template is a freebie from Joomlashack.

The image file that is showing is called icon_unanswered.png .... but I guess that you can see that.

It would appear to display when the post has had no additional posts - i.e. is "unanswered" - whether it changes when a post has been made I don't know (my forum is new and in test)

Hi Rob,

look in the configuration of Kunena (Frontend tab) and change option "Selectable Topic Icons" to YES. Then in your forum will show normal icons.

If you set this option to NO you users will not have option to select icon for topic when create a new topic and Kunena show automatic icons you seen now.
