Could the Kunena developer(s) responsible for implementing the CSS Sprites in 1.6 help guide me with this? I know with a few tweaks/additions, I can get this to work. If successful, I hope to implement similar CSS sprite strategies within my template and other components.

Cheers! :)

I'm not a developer - indeed, because of the 50-60 new questions asked each day at this website, I haven't had any time for any development work - and I know that the development teak is highly focused at the moment in preparation for Joomla 1.6 and making sure that there is a version of Kunena that's compatible with it. Therefore, I would ask for people to be patient at this particular time.

I feel sure - even though I have not done the research myself - that there is a lot of information available to you that explains how CSS sprites work. There is a bit of information here, at www.kunena.org , if you search for "CSS sprites" but I know there is a lot of information available on the world wide web. This may not seem very supportive, to you, but I'm doing my best to help.

Perhaps you might like to explain, a little more, how specifically you want to understand more about CSS sprites? For example, how do you have a specific need for CSS sprites in Kunena? Someone else with a similar interest might be then be able to help you with a more specific concrete example of what you're intending to do.

Hi Sozzled

I'm actually interested in how the Kunena developers implemented the CSS Sprites. I'd like to follow the same model as they've used to keep the consistency. I hope that makes sense.

Anyhow, I know the developers are very busy but I was only after a few pointers about my approach along with a few ideas on how I can make it work. The only think I've done is minify the CSS (which I think the developers ought to do too as part of the new build) Less is more I think. ;)
