Hi

first of all... amazing forum.. i like everything about it :) Great integration with jomssocial! thank you for that... just one problem...

I put the following in my template CSS file.. that styles the whole website..

/* FORUM COLOR CHANGES */

/* Change the header background colors */
#Kunena .kblock div.kheader {
background:none repeat scroll 0 0 #807056;

This changed all my background header colors to a nice brown color... so it fits nicely with my website..

in firefox. . . it looks GREAT!!!!! in internet explorer... its still blue ........ why doesnt the CSS work in internet destroyer?

do i have to manually change it in the kunena.css file? im already trying that ...

THANKS

the only thing i can try is changing the RGB color of the default blue.......

please somebody let me know if you have internet destroyer issues.. it might be my template conflicting with the css of the forum

Please do not refer to products in topic titles by "cute" names. Even though I've been tempted to refer to certain products in the body of the message text in irreverent terms, if this is your opinion about a product (i.e. Internet Explorer = "Internet Destroyer") then don't use it. B)

Many people who browse topics by subject will not be familiar with the term "Internet Destroyer" - those for whom English is not their native language and those who may not be able to choose which web browser they are use (e.g. corporate users).

If you are having a problem with IE, which version of IE are you having problems with? Please amend your original posting accordingly. Thank you.

Can we also see what version of Kunena you are talking about, too? :dry:

Sounds like the local browser cache could be the culprit. Empty the cache in IE locally and reload.

Thank you for the clarification of those issues. I can only commiserate with you about the unique difficulties that IE7 has caused with Kunena. In fact, IE7 issues were responsible for holding up the release of K 1.6 for a few weeks while they were wrestled with ... and those were to fix problems with the Blue Eagle template, let alone any customised changes that users may wish to make for themselves.

Unfortunately, IE7 will always present unique challenges to web designers everywhere. Perhaps, then, it's a good thing that K 1.7 will be not making any special accommodation for IE7. But this is just water under the bridge and it doesn't really solve your problem.

I wish I could help you but I, like many of us, don't have an IE7 platform. Perhaps there is someone here who can give you that specialist assistance. Let's hope so.

Hello,

Did you edit the file kunena.forum.ie7.css

You have to change this line:
Code:
#Kunena .kblock div.kheader {}

Regards,
micrantha
