Hello,

i´ve a problem with latest kunena and latest joomla 1.6.

In joomla i created some groups and for this groups access levels.

Example:

Mothergroup: Group1 with two chieldgroups: group2 and group3

Group1 access level: Nothing, not in use for users.

Group2 access level: group2 and group3
Group3 access level: only group3 self

I have 2 users: First user "Bob" in group2 and the second one "Bill" in group3.

Bob has also access to group2 and 3.
Bill has just access to group 3.

In Kunena i have 2 channel.

Channel1: aligne to group2
Channel2: aligne to group3

Info:

group2 has access level group2 and group3
group3 has just access level for group3

Now i lock in with Bob with access level for group2 and 3.

Bob can see channel1 but not channel2.

Why?

Bob is in group2 and group2 has access level for group2 and group3 in joomla.

In joomla it works fine with link and content, but not in kunena.

Whats the problem?

Is my thinking wrong?

Can somebody please help me?

Thanks a lot!

I believe that the main issue is that Kunena 1.6 doesn't support Joomla access levels -- we had no time to get the support ready because all the other issues in J1.6.

Kunena only supports user groups and the user needs to be either in that group or a group below it.
