My forum is all messed up. At the bottom of the page I see the error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 104857600 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 72 bytes) in /home3/.../public_html/rominachirre-espanol/libraries/joomla/database/database/mysqli.php on line 478

This is my forum's URL:

espanol.rominachirre.com/foro/indice.html

I have added a php.ini file in the main directory of my website to increase the memory as follows:

a. memory_limit = 100M
b. Register_globals = Off
c. post_max_size = 100M
upload_max_filesize = 100M

Any help would be really appreciated. Please, let me know what I can do. Thank you very much in advance!

What a strange thing. I got that error message on my forum page a few minutes ago and now the everything looks fine again. Is there a way to prevent that from happening all the time? I got a similar problem before I added the php.ini file, and once I increased the memory the forum got back to normal, but now it happened again, so I now I'm wondering if that is something that may happen again. Is there a way to fix that once for all?

Hello,

Myabe you should increase a bit memory_limit

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

How about we leave this for a week. If you have the same issue again, maybe you could post the URL of the page where it happens, when it happens, next time? After a week, if you don't have the problem, let's consider the case as "just one of those strange things". Yes?

@xillibit I followed your advice. I have increased the memory_limit to 256M. Thank you so much for the suggestion. Hopefully it will work.

@sozzled. Yes, we can do that. I'll keep checking on the forum and hopefully after the memory limit increase there won't be any further issues, but if I have them again I'll come to bother you like usual. Thanks a million for coming to my rescue!!!

A blessed evening to both of you and thanks again :)
