Question
Site kunena component working in chrome but not ie9
Just trying to add Kunena 1.6 to my site. I am unable to see bb codes or edit user profile when loaded in ie9 but works fine in chrome. I have tried enabling mootools but made no difference. I tried also installing test site with joomla 1.5 and kunena 1.6 same problem. here is a link to my site

.
There are many remaining issues with Kunena 1.6 on Joomla 1.6, so it would be best not to use that combination for now.
I had a look at your site, and the template looks broken in Firefox 4.0 as well. This is either a Joomla 1.6 issue, or your site's template is causing a lot of conflicts.
My site is running joomla 1.5. Here is a link to a test site with a fresh install of joomla 1.5 with ja purity 2 and kunena 1.6. I have mootools upgrade enabled. The only way to see bb codes and profile settings is to switch to compatibility mode when using internet explorer. This would be fine because i can use the internet explorer compatibility extension and set it for IE8. The problem with that is compatibility mode on my original site plays havoc with joomgallery component. Keep in mind that my original site with run fine using Google Chrome, but need it to work in both. Is there a way to have only the Kunena component load in IE8 compatibility mode? Here is a temporary user: user name "test", password "pass".
