Kunena 7.0.6 & Kunena 6.4.12 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.6 [K 7.0.6] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the twelfth version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

Question Notification of empty subject not show in mozilla firefox

I notice that when i forget to enter subject for new topic, there will be a notification to tell that the subject is empty.;)

subject: This field is required

But this notification does not appear in mozilla. I waste about half an hour thinking why I cannot click 'Submit' button...:P

It show in IE...but not mozilla and safari...any help? :dry:

What Kunena template are you using? That doesn't look like the default one. Notifications of fields that need to be filled out are controlled by the template. If yours isn't working right, it's because of the template. The default template highlights fields in red when they're not filled out right. It's very hard to miss, and it works in every browser.

It's a default templates, 'Blend with Joomla templates = Yes'. I set it to 'No' and got a same result...

The indicator for empty 'subject' field is red, but there's no "subject: This field is required"

ah yes, it looks like IE displays the error message, but every other browser highlights the field in red. Probably because IE can't do the field highlighting thing reliably. Otherwise, every browser would function that way.

honestly, I think the bright red field is obvious enough. We've never had this issue on our site.
