Hey there!

I recently built a Joola 1.5 site (1.5.22) with a Kunena Forum integrated in it. Now that I've transfered the tessite to the live site, all kind of errors appear in teh front end or backup as soon as I click on a menu link to Kunena (frontend) or the Kunena component link (backend)

The following errors appear:

Frontend:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_VARIABLE or '$' in /var/www/vhosts/exampledomain.nl/httpdocs/components/com_kunena/kunena.php on line 61

Backend (when clicking on Kunena in teh Components tab)

Parse error: parse error, unexpected '(', expecting '}' in /var/www/vhosts/exampledomain.nl/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_kunena/admin.kunena.php on line 2004

Does anyone know what's going wrong and how I can fix it?

By the way, I'm using Kunena 1.6.2

Looking forward to your help!

Regards,
Franklin

We always recommend that you run the latest versions of Joomla extensions. In other words, use K 1.6.3. If you have any technical issues running your Joomla website, you will find that the technical requirements article in the Wiki will answer 80% of them. The 20% of problems unanswered by this document exist because of issues beyond our control (in other words, things that you or your webhost has done to your site).

Have you searched for "unexpected t_string"? You might find some of the results of that search useful to you.

Kunena shouldn't have any parsing errors in it (we use Zend Studio, which detects all of those). Maybe the file was corrupted during installation process? Or do you have APC or similar installed into site?
