I'm having problems changing/updating my own Kunena forum profile (I'm the administrator). The version I have installed for Kunena is 1.6.2 and the one I have for Joomla is 1.5.22 Stable.

Everytime I click on the "Profile" tab, then click on "Edit", add, change or remove information from my own profile and then click on "Save" I am redirected to my computer's homepage, which in my particular case is Google.

I created a fake account which is set as "no rank assigned" just to see if I was able to update my profile from that account, and found no problems from there.

Other registered users have no problems either, it just happens to me, the administrator. I have tried three different browsers: IE, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox and in all of them I have experienced the same situation: being redirected to Google whenever I click on "Save". I would really appreciate any help you could provide. Thanks a lot in advance.

Hello,

I advise you to disable legacy mode and to upgrade to K1.6.3

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

My Kunena Forum Menu: Enabled (Version : 1.6.2) | My Kunena Forum Posts: Enabled (Version : 1.6.0-RC1)

You only "need" these things if you use JomSocial. If you do not use JomSocial, please uninstall this software.

While you are diagnosing your problem, please use Blue Eagle (default) template. Thank you.

Hello xillibit and sozzled. Thank you so much for your so kind reply. I have followed your advice: disabled the legacy plugin, upgraded to Kunena 1.6.3, uninstalled Kunena Forum Posts, switched to Blue Eagle template, but unfortunately the problem persists. I have now installed Community Builder and uddeIM. I have noticed when I try to save my profile changes from CB it does the same thing Kunena does: it also redirects me to Google as soon as I hit the update button. Does that mean the problem is not Kunena but Joomla itself? Is this something that happens to other people? Any ideas would be really appreciated and thanks a million in advance for your precious help!

I just changed my computer's homepage to Yahoo and still keep getting redirected to Google when I want to save my changes. This seems to be kind of a virus but the strage thing is that I have tried from two different computers but it didn't make any difference. I really would like to know if someone else has ever gone through something like this. I can't figure out where the problem comes from. So frustrating!!!!

Why are you still running My Kunena Forum Menu? If you read my last message you will see that this is only "needed" if you use JomSocial.

Your problem is uncommon but I think there's a reasonable explanation for the cause. We just have to find what it is! I suggest you try the following settings in your Kunena configuration:

integration_access auto
integration_login kunena
integration_avatar communitybuilder
integration_profile communitybuilder
integration_private uddeim
integration_activity none

You haven't said if you are experiencing other problems on your website but I wonder, with 12 Javascipt libraries being loaded on your Kunena page, whether this "rich mix" of software is not likely to be a recipe for a belly-ache?

Are you, for example, having any of the problems described in [Merged topic]The great Mootools/Javascript conflict discussion ?
