Question Mootools 'this.retrieve is not a function' (mootools.js, line 1) Error

Joomla 1.5.22
Kunena 1.6.3

Using Kunena 1.6.3 with Joomla 1.5 I've told Yoo Page template to stop
loading loading mootools 1.11 (via Joomla Template Manager, select yoo_page
and set 'Enable Mootools' to NO).

This prevents a conflict arising wherein Yoo Page loads Mootools 1.11 and
Kunena then loads Mootools 1.2.x. If this conflict is present two problems
occur: 1) Page display is very very slow and 2) the Boardcode stuff does
not work when posting a message in Kunena. These issues are now solved,
thanks to help from reading this forum.

So now everything is brilliant? Nearly, but not quite. I keep getting the
following Error:

"this.retrieve is not a function
[Break on this error] var MooTools={version:"1.2.4",build:"0..."::")[1]);b.set("title","")}})}})})();
mootools.js (line 1)"

This error occurs only the in Kunena Forum pages, not elsewhere in the site.
I don't have a clue what's causing it or how to fix it ...

I've googled dementedly, but found nothing understandable (I'm very new at
this game). The web site being constructed is super-simple.

Enabling/disabling 'System - Mootools Upgrade' makes no difference.

Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas, or simple fixes (I probably don't
have sufficient understanding or skills for anything complicated)?

Thank you for your help.

Regards,

Rick

I'm not sure about this issue (I've not seen reports of that particular error before). Have you searched at forum.joomla.org ? Does the issue occur if you used rhuk_milkyway template - I am suggesting, for this experiment, that you uninstall the Yoo Page template. If this situation does not happen on the rhuk_milkyway template then you know the cause of the problem and you should ask the developers of the Yoo Page template. Does that sound like a reasonable strategy to you?

Perhaps you are using another component on your Kunena pages that clobbers Mootools 1.2.4. Have you considered that possibility, too?
