Question K 1.6.3 and artofuser 1.1.1

Hey,

Anyone already tried to combine Kunena 1.6.3 with artofuser 1.1.1 ?

Ive just upgraded to 1.6.3 and firstly installed the artofuser extension (1.1.1, you cant get older ones)

What ive done:

- creating a new group
- adding a user to that group
- switched @kunena config to jxtended (integration)
- sync stuff (cache clean) @ joomla and kunena

My Problem:

I cant see the new groups @ kunena category manager

any suggestions?

I have successfully installed this on my site and working well. The only thing I can think of that you did not add to the list...

- Make sure you have added the group to the specific forum(private forum). So when you created your new category in Kunena make sure you have highlighted the private group you created specific for that category. Oh also making sure the new categories are both enabled.

Thanks for your help, but my failure was another

the _parent_ of my custom group was "public frontend", that doesnt work! ( you even dont see the group @ kunena config )

ive switched the parent to "registred" and everything is fine now

You can make the parent category private as well then adding as many private sub cats. I should have mentioned the parent cat needs a specific group as well. You need to assign a group even without artofuser to see it on the frontend.
