Question Can't add more options to existing poll

Hi,

I have following problem – when editing poll I can't add more options. I got message „The maximum number of poll options has been reached”. My poll has 3 options at the moment, and Maximum number poll options is set to 20.

Any idea what can be wrong?

well, just made few tests and I encountered the same problem with another pool. However, when I first removed one option from the pool it worked... but that means lost votes for removed option. I suppose it may be problem with JavaScript. It happens with Chrome 7.0.517.44, Ie8 and Firefox 4.0b6.

I fixed a couple of spelling mistakes in this subject (changed the word "pool" -> "poll"). I understand that English is probably not your native language. Trying to change "options in the pool" does have convey a rather amusing idea in my mind. However, let's get back to being serious.

When you create a topic with a poll you cannot edit the topic to change the number of polling options after you have posted it. If you want to add more polling options to an existing topic, you cannot. If you want add additional polling choices to a poll, after you have created it, then you need to create a new topic.

While we have your attention, I see that you are running Joomla 1.5.21 in "legacy mode". Please read the important information about Legacy mode in the Wiki and please do something to eliminate your dependence on this deprecated feature. People should not be using legacy mode any more. Kunena 1.6 has not been tested with legacy mode. Support for Joomla 1.0 (the basis for using legacy mode in the first place) was withdrawn by www.joomla.org on 22-Jul-2009. We advise users to eliminate legacy mode issues now before they run into problems later.

Well, I can. If I remove one option first it works. But as I wrote in previous post that means lost votes for that particular option and can lead to some funny results. Also, since first edit I can add more options without any problem.
The thing with new topic is that it isn't very user friendly, everyone would need to vote again. I think it's common that some options may change during discussion and creating new poll isn't always necessary.
I also believe that this feature could be simply improved (because it already works )in future release.

I see that you are running Joomla 1.5.21 in "legacy mode".

Kunena works fine for me but yes, within few weeks I'm going to finally turn that off.

by the way, if I click vote without option selected i receive

Maybe it's legacy mode issue...
