Thank you.

Perhaps I was being a bit touchy. I do apologize. I think it was just a misunderstanding, and I take responsibility. I think I took the "Spoilers" the wrong way. So again, I sincerely apologize. It's most likely the frustration of dealing with this.

After the last post, I did reinstall Kunena, but it was hidden as I didn't want my users to see me working on it. Here's what I did: I completely uninstalled K, remove all traces via ftp and deleted all corresponding databases. Then I installed 1.5, then ran the converters from Agora to Kunena. Then installed K1.6 and hit the migrate option. Still the same issue remained.

I got to thining about components and plugins... again. I began to uninstall. The first one I hit was "Letterman", the newsletter component (since I rarely use it). Know what? BAM! That was it. As soon as I uninstalled Letterman, K1.6 began working like a champ! Migration was flawless, conversion was flawless. I was able to keep all previous CCBoard posts, user ranks and post count. Now I'm as happy as can be.

I love Kunena and wasn't gonna give up. So maybe it was my particular instance of Letterman... but it may be something you wanna pass on as a possible conflict. In my case, it was definitely the culprit.

I'm sure with your help we would have gotten to it eventually... as I know, from reading your posts, your very Kunena knowledgeable!

In the end, I want to once again apologize for any misunderstanding or misinterpretation. Thank you very much for being considerate and willing to help. You get a BIG "Thank You" from me!

Thank you for your perseverance, Chris. :)

I'm very pleased to hear that we got to the bottom of the issue. I see from the JED that Letterman is a component that requires you to be running J! 1.5 in Legacy mode. So it seems that my suggestion about Legacy mode wasn't too far off being worthwhile after all. ;)

Yes, I suppose we should add Letterman (last updated 10-Sep-2008) to the growing list of software that causes problems with Joomla today and extensions written for today's Joomla community.
