Double post? was created by snilloconator
I have recently "successfully" migrated from Agora forums to the latest 1.6.0! One problem I'm seeing with some new post or replies they are being dublicated. I'm not sure if this is user error or something gone wrong with the upgrade. Here are a couple of ideas that may be the culprit.

1. Agora is still installed on the site and intact. Using it for a private forum.... Should I uninstall?

2. I still see the jos_fb tables... Should these be dropped?

NOTE: I have done the maintenance of re-counting the categories from administrator panel.

Also I apologize in advance if this has been brought to the Kenuna teams attention. I did perform a search but could not find.

Warning: Spoiler!

I forgot to mention that this is very intermittent. It has only happened three times so far that I can see....

G'day, snilly.

First of all, I don't have any clues as to why you are displaying duplicates of existing messages - intermittently or not. We need to look into that with your help.

I don't see any reason why you cannot continue to run Agora alongside Kunena. A number of developments have been made with K 1.6.1 that allows Kunena to take advantage of third-party extensions for ACL management. This fact alone will address the concerns that many users have had with Kunena and the inability in the past to run private "forums" (i.e. categories for selected users) that do not rely on Joomla user types. When this is available, users might then review their need for having different forum components as a workaround for those needs. It will certainly simplify your management overheads.

The jos_fb_* tables are retained only after upgrading to K 1.6 in the event the users may want to downgrade to a previous version of Kunena. After you upgrade to K 1.6 the jos_fb_* tables are no longer used (they exist as a snapshot of when you last used an older version of Kunena); therefore they do not cause any impact on performance. If you remove these tables you will reclaim some disk space on your server. We do not recommend dropping (i.e. deleting) anything without having a good backup.

Getting back to the original purpose of your topic, can you confirm the origin of these "double posts": are the message details identical, except for the record key? I ask this because it's possible that you might have moved a topic from one category to another and you've left a pointer to the topic behind, in the original category ... perhaps?

First off let me hit the TY button! ;)

As far as keeping agora around your right on the money and the conversion was absolutely to keep up with the times and it seems K1.6 was the obvious solution!

Back on topic I can really pin point it I'll have to go through several of hundreds of threads to see I can find a pattern. If you want you take look see here. I leave a double post up.

Double post in action!

Here's another!

It actually looks like the beginning of each existing thread. But this also happened when a member posted after migration. Weird!!!
