Hi guys,

I just updated our kunena board to 1.6. Everything worked just fine. But when I tried to edit the template files I noticed that all code is in one line. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
The problem seems to exist in the core files too :(
Any ideas?

Alex

Hello,

It's because the css and javascript are compressed to reduce a bit the page load, you can leverage the normal versions of these files by enablign the debug mode into kunena configuration panel.

As xillibit already explained, all css and js files of Kunena 1.6 are minified with the YUICompressor. We also supply uncompressed versions of each file (look for the file name without the -min).

This is a best practice on the internet to make pages load faster and saves kB transferred, especially for new visitors.

Turn Kunena into debug mode (Kunena backend settings) to see the uncompressed version of the files.

If you make any changes to the css, simply use a service like: refresh-sf.com/yui/

To take the full text version and compress it. Than copy that into the -min version of the file. And you are all set.

Hope this helps!

Thx guys! This makes sense. I just haven't seen compressed css files anywhere until know. I guess it would make sense to offer an uncompressed version automatically when opening the templates with the kunena template editor.

Keep up the good work!
