Same problem here.

Been trying to fix this for a while now.

I do not have an old menu item.

I have moved the mootools upgrade plugin to the top of the list.

I am using yoo flux - I have disabled the js compression.

site is www.mysmallbusiness.co.za

Help would be appreciated

What problems are these that you are having. It would be a good idea if you provided us with a bit more information than I have the same problem ...

Could you please also include a copy of your K 1.6 configuration report so that we can see more information about your site that might give us some clues as to the source of your problem(s). Thank you.

Hi

I have been making changes, I can't seem to fix it - I just get to a stage where the error message changes. The major issue for me as that the link to my forum is /forum/index where it should just be /forum

I am using sh404sef, but have tried with and without it (core sef) - the same problems persist.

First I had this one,
Legacy menu item in /discussions (Itemid=64). Redirected to /forum (Itemid=123).

Then this,
Menu item /forum (Itemid=123) does not have Kunena Menu.
(although the kunena menu did display at the time)

Now this,
No menu item assigned. Redirected to /forum (Itemid=123).

Worried about this as I don't want to lose my rankings due to the incorrect url.

Site is www.mysmallbusiness.co.za

Thanks.

I would concentrate on using Joomla core SEO/SEF at this time. We've already received numerous reports that sh404SEF causes considerable problems with Kunena and, for the purposes of resolving your problem, can you please uninstall and remove that product.

Your site looks good to me, by the way. I don't see any problems. I suspect that the errors that you're getting are spurious ones and they're there because of the accordion menu style that's used by your site. I have a feeling that the error messages (that I can't see but you, as a site administrator, might see) are spurious ones. That's happened to me too. It's a bit unnerving but I don't think it's anything to really be concerned about in your case.

I think that you'll find that using K 1.6.1 will work better for you. Please contact me by PM and I will arrange for you to obtain a copy of an internal development release of K 1.6.1 if you're interested in giving it a try.

Thanks - sent you a pm with regard to 1.6.1

I cannot completely remove sh404sef - too many other areas of my site rely on it. I have tried with the option of setting kunena to use the core sef. I tested on a different (less important site) with k1.6.0 and sh404sef and it worked fine.

I moved the kunena menulink to a simple menu in the footer of my site, this is a regular menu - not like the accordian main menu. This didn't fix the problem, so it seems it is not my main menu causing the problem.

I understand your comment about this problem being spurious - the forum does appear to be functioning correctly. However, I cannot replicate the url www.mysmallbusiness.co.za/forum - this is a major problem for me.

Look forward to trying 1.6.1 - hopefully it will fix this error.

Thanks.
Dylan

I went ahead in installed the dev version of 1.6.1

Although the error message no longer display, the url which is supposed to be /forum still redirect to forum/index

This was the same as when I had the error with 1.6.0:
No menu item assigned. Redirected to /forum (Itemid=123)

I tested with different sh404sef settings without success. Only when I turned sh404sef completely did I manage to get the correct url (/forum)

Not sure what to do now as all I have been using sh404sef on my site for 2 years now and all my urls have been written using it. It will be a nightmare in terms of search rankings to have to turn it off now, although maybe this is best as the Jomsocial team also recommend using core sef.

Will post on Sh404sef boards as well and see if they are aware of, or plan to fix this.

Thanks
Dylan
