Hi everybody !

URL of my website : www.etudionsaletranger.fr/index/listcat

I have to say that i am in a bad mood, kunena is not working since 2 weeks and i don't know why !

I had the oldest version of 1.5.2 and the message " an invalid post id was requested" came every time i wanted to read a post.

So i try to uninstall kunena and install it again, it didn't work.

I heard that de 1.6 was coming, so today i installed the new version with the RC3.

And it's still the same problem, every time i create a post, i can't read it because there is the message "an invalid post id was requested"

I have to say that i read this post " www.kunena.com/forum/168-k-16-support/61...ost-id-was-requested ", but it doesn't give any solution, and for me, even with the SEO on "OFF", it doesn't work.

Please help me...

It's quite possible that your MySQL tables have a problem. It's also quite possible that K 1.5.2 (a version that I'm not familiar with - and which is not available for download) could be responsible for the problems that you now have. The first good version of K 1.5 that was released for public use was K 1.5.3; earlier versions were only supposed to be used for testing purposes.

We would appreciate it if you could please post your K 1.6 configuration settings (see K 1.6 Configuration Report for instructions on how to use this feature) and, yes, we would like to see the whole report, please. :)

"An invalid post id was requested" can indicate a problem with the database, but there may be other issues that we have not yet identified. If you search for "An invalid post id was requested" you may find other tips that you might find useful to you. I don't think that SEO settings usually have any impact on the issue that you're having. It's hard to say without seeing your K 1.6 configuration report.

As I wrote earlier, I have never heard of Kunena 1.5.2.

Thank you for your configuration report. There is one obvious that needs to be investigated - whether it's appropriate for you to have the "System - Mootools Upgrade" disabled or not. Everything else in you configuration report seems acceptable; SEO is unlikely to be a factor in this problem.

But, even having said that, you wrote that you had this "invalid post id" problem before you upgraded to K 1.6.

We replied that this kind of problem could be an issue with database integrity. It is never a good idea to attempt to upgrade a website if database problems are in existence. In fact, upgrading a site with an existing database problem may only make the situation worse.

Do you have a backup of you old website, taken before you upgraded? Even better, do you have a backup of your website, taken before you started to experience the "invalid post id was requested" errors?

If I were in your situation I would spend time researching the answers given in the past about what can cause (and what solves) the "invalid post id was requested" scenario. As a last-chance alternative, I would revert to what I had before I upgraded (in your case, K 1.5.2, even though though I've never heard of this version) and work through the "invalid post id was requested" issues first. Then, having fixed those problems, I would upgrade.
