It says in your setup if a photo exceeds the size limits you set it will be resized automaticly but that function does not work.

I can upload photos if they are within the limits but can not if they are bigger

I believe there is a misunderstanding.

Images will get resized if the height or width are larger than what you have set in your config (850).

File size is an absolut limit. If you set it to 200kB - no files bigger than 200kB will be allowed for upload.

I suggest you set the upload file size to 2048kB and since your height and width is fairly small you will end up with much smaller files anyway - but the original is kept - hence the file size limit.

I have tried that I set it at 3000,4000 ,5000 exct with the same results. It is not the size of the file that is the problem it is the height and width as I stated.

I can now upload photos but it still does not work right. After I upload a photo my website loses all template formating and it takes you to an unformated page instead of back to the post.

Also Now I get this error when I load the forum:

I don't see this error on your forum and it appears that images are being properly uploaded and resized:

Is your issue resolved?

The place to start looking for issues is the web-server error log of your host. When you get a partial page after an upload it means something failed.

My guess is that your server might not have the imaging support installed that we need to resize images and the php function might fail due to that.

The only way to tell is through the error log.
