Same problem with this and Guess submit button doesn't work in reply and start topic too.

The different is I tried multiple browser:
Firefox 3.6 FAILED
Chrome 6 stable FAILED
Firefox 4.0b6 FAILED
Opera 10.62 FAILEd
IE 8 GOOD (OMG why this only works with that thing)

I hope this bug is fixed in the next release. Thank you :)

I tested Allow Guests to post/write = Yes on a test site; the Submit button worked for me in Firefox.

I suspect the problem here is the PC environment that is hosting this user's site. If we could login to this user's website and reproduce the error then I would agree, this is a "bug"; we can't login to this user's site and I don't think it's a Kunena "bug". Please try the same test on a real internet platform to see if it makes a difference. Thank you.

I can confirm this bug.

IE8 is the only one broken - that's why it works ;-)

The name input field is hidden. Therefore empty and the field validation fails. The validator turns the hidden field red, but nobody can see it either :-) lol

Will look into this right away.

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)

I owe you and everyone an apology. It turns out that I was logged-in when I ran my test. It certainly does seem that there is a defect in RC3 with public posts enabled.

Although we would not recommended that people use this setting - it invites spam posting - it is still a legitimate way to run a forum and a fix will need to be found for this problem.

I assume this is the same problem I reported some days ago.
kunena forum post no 62519 .

Hopefully a solution would be provided before K 1.6.0 stable, because some of us use this option.

Cheers!
