Question Site Admins Cannot Edit User Profiles

Hi all,

I'm sure this can be easily fixed, but I've run out of places to look!

Kunena 1.6 RC2:

Site administrators cannot edit Kunena profiles. They can edit their *own* profiles, but not those of users. The Edit link is missing in user profiles, whereas it is present in administrators' own profiles and works without problem. Some sort of permissions issue? Is this connected to the fact that the User Ban section *can* be edited, but, when a new ban is applied, it generates the message that the user has successfully been *un*banned?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Kind regards

Andy

That is correct.

While I have your attention (and unrelated to this issue), I notice that you have the Legacy plugin enabled on your website. Please read important information regarding Legacy mode .

Many thanks for your reply, although I am a little surprised that site editors cannot edit user profiles.

As regards legacy mode, we have one 1.0 component which is fairly important to the site and for which a 1.5. native version has never been released. Of course, when J!1.6 comes out we will have to lose it, but we are keeping it active until then.

Your help is much appreciated

Kind regards

Andy.

Site administrators can make some changes to Kunena user profiles from the backend, administration site, but not from the frontend.

There may or may not be complications involved in relying on J! 1.0 extensions on a J! 1.5. As long as you are aware of the risks that you are taking, that's OK. If you do, however, encounter problems, just be aware that these J! 1.0 things could be involved.

Thanks very much - yes, I am aware of the risks, and am looking for alternatives.

Kind regards

Andy.
