I'm wondering.

I currently have my forum set to show the category index as default.

Is there a way to have public (not logged in viewers) be shown the index, and logged in viewrs be shown the recent topics list by default?

This would keep users happy and present the best view to new visitors and searchbots alike.

If there is a way can someone describe in detail?

Hello,

I don't understand exactly what do you mean. Can-you please give more explanation on your issue ?

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Say using the entrypage option for a menu link to the forum, or whatever link matches the default view of the forum toplevel.

Public, non registered and viewers generally who are not logged in be shown the full category list.

Logged in viewers be shown the recent topics list for the same link.

Our forum members like having the recent topics menu, but its better if searchbots and public viewers be shown the category index, shows more going on.

Basically an option to set two different behaviours for the same default view of the forum based on logged in / out status.

Is there a way to do this?
