Itemid issue was created by stoffel
I just read the post of Alex R, who hat problems with some errors, including wrong Itemids. But in his topic, there was no named solution for that.
I put up a site with a new and clean kunena installation 1.6RC1 on joomla 1.5.20. kunena's itemid is 331. when I'm clicking on a subforum or a topic, the itemid changes to 321, new topics are on 324, the memberlist is on 306.
The buttons on top (index - 322, recent topics - 323, new topic - 324, and so on) also have different itemids.
Could you give me a hint please on how to solve that issue?
Thank you in advance!

Hello,
I think it's unintensionnal to have put your topic in K 1.6 Support Archive, your issue isn't solved yet.
The similar problem that your one described here : www.kunena.com/forum/169-k-16-support-ar...-menu-a-itemid-issue , the gus had blank pages wit error 500 and it has solved the issue by increasing the php memory limit. I think that you haven't the same symptoms ?

Oops...my fault! I wrote a report to the moderator to move the topic!^^
No, there are no blank pages, only the alternating itemids...
I already tried to uninstall/install the component and created a new menu item within the component, but the problem stays the same.

Hi,
different item IDs are normal and should happen. This is how Joomla manages its menu structure. If we where to turn off SEF here on kunena.com you would be seeing different item IDs too.
This is by Joomla design. The reason why you are seeing it with Kunena 1.6 is because we made the top navigation a Joomla menu and not a proprietary self written structure like most other components do or our older versions had.
Other than the item ID numbers being different, are you having other issues?
Hope this helps!
