Kunena 7.0.4 Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0
Question install language for kunena is not working
i have a K1.6.5 installed along with J1.7, i have a problem with language files,
after installing kunena i had an English site and admin language, joomla had an arabic language (ar-AA),
i have created a new language files called ar-AA language files with help with translations that have been for K1.6.4
there are three language files in the languages/ar-AA language directory for kunena, the same as the english files, i have checked and copied all the changes and i am pretty sure the language files are ok.
all other components use the ar-AA language files as expected, the only problem is with kunena, its not using the language files for some reason, i cant figure what is the problem.
will be thankful for some help, because i dont now what else to do, even reinstall is not helping
i am attaching the language files updated for Kunena 1.6.5, if needed to check and publish for community

Both .zip -packages to your J! 1.5.23/1.6.6/1.7.0 will install smoothly... or you can do one package of those two with "extra" .xml file if you needed.
Just compare your language files to english and do/translate it to for your language?

thanks for the fast replay
I realized that Joomla 1.7 will not load language files if where not perfect, in my case one of the translations had missing " character in one translation line.
the Arabic translation provided needs this fix, i will report that in arabic language section and upload the language files to K1.6.5 (small contribution at last).

Yes, it not load any in Joomla! own translation files either if there are not perfect!(Parsing errors in language files)Joomla 1.7 will not load language files if where not perfect

I think, that nobody do fix for old language version(K1.6.5). If there are some doing, they have to do it for K 1.7.0.

Anyway, you miss main .xml file in the package... now you can install those both your (.zip)package one by one in J! 1.5.23 and J! 1.7.0.
J! 1.5.23 and J! 1.7.0 need to use little different main .xml -files when want to install whole as same time, but you can install your packages as I told in above...
Where is ar-AA admin and site packages or full for J! 1.5.23? Not in JCode(only J! 1.7.0 version) or extensions gives this: extensions.joomla.org/extensions/languag...ons-for-joomla/12362
I also inform J! Translation Team Chat, that you have ar-AA_joomla_lang_full_1.7.0.zip in wrong place(in J! 1.5 translation files) --> joomlacode.org/gf/project/jtranslation/frs/?action=index I think, the Arabic TT coordinator will fix that soon, when he read my post or this.
