I have a website running jomsocial and Kunena. My users create accounts in Jomsocial, which creates an account in Kunena. All of the users have the rank "registered", some of them are able to post and start topics, some of them are not. They get the error "you do not have permission", any idea what would cause this. If I go in to Kunena and change the rank to administrator, then it works, but obviously I don't want that...

I am sorry to hear that you are having problems with some of your users not being able to start new topics.

No, of course, you do not want to give your users administrator rights to your website. That would be entirely inappropriate to do so. Merely changing the rank should not have any impact on your users' ability to use the features of your forum, either (and I'm somewhat surprised that this might have worked in your case).

I looked at your website. You have K 1.6.4 installed - which is not the latest version of Kunena - and so you should upgrade that to K 1.6.5 (see K 1.6 Upgrade Guide for instructions on how to do that).

You asked a question not that long ago about "migration". Is your current website one that involved some kind of migration or not?
