Question Cannot remove "Kunena Forum - English" entries Joomla extension manager

I'd like to remove 2 entries named "Kunena Forum - English" that remain behind after an uninstall of Kunena, and appear in the Joomla 2.5.0. extension manager pages.

The error message I receive are:

This language can't be uninstalled. It is protected in the database (usually en-GB)
This language can't be uninstalled. It is protected in the database (usually en-GB)

Why is Kunena trying to uninstall a language if it's protected? How can I remove the
2 extension manager entries?

Thanks.

This is actually a bug in how Joomla handles legacy language files from Joomla! 1.5. In Joomla! 1.5 all extensions used the same installer package for the core language files and the extensions. Joomla! 1.6+ allows you to install legacy language packs (because of many extension use them to keep the same file for all Joomla versions), but it replaces the data shown in extension manager, which is clearly a bug (it should just insteall the files and get over it).

So what you are trying to do, is to delete the whole English language from your site, which has wrong lables in it. We found this bug slightly more than a week ago and this should not happen anymore with Kunena 1.7.2 -- but installing it doesn't fix the broken title.
