Kunena 6.3.6 Released - Security release
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.6 [K 6.3.6] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3
Note: Please go to the Kunena Dashboard after an upgrade so that the Kunena database tables are also updated.

Known issues in Kunena 1.7.0 was created by Matias
Kunena component:
- Installer says something like "Installing Kunena 1.6" (language issue, no side effects)
- CAPTCHA after upgrade: reconfigure it to allow guests to post again (configuration issue)
- Plugin doesn't obey {kunenadiscuss:0}

If your users cannot access categories after migration, please go to Kunena Category Manager check you category access that it doesn't say Only Public, Only Registered, Only Editor or something similar.
This issue is caused from a bug in Kunena 1.6 that caused the Primary Includes Child Groups = No setting to be ignored.

JomSocial activity stream is public to everyone: By default JomSocial does not respect user privacy.
If you DO NOT want to show topics/messages in private categories in everyones activity stream, please see this page:

Unfortunately you need to delete existing activity items by hand...

If you get error when replying topic in Joomla 1.6/1.7:
The file is located in : /administrator/components/com_kunena/libraries/integration/joomla16/access.php
You need to edit above file and change line 19 by adding "static" into it:

No emails from subscriptions
Joomla 1.5: There is a bug that prevent "All registered" categories from sending any emails (both subscribers and moderators) in some cases. Workaround is to change:
Primary User Group = Registered
Primary Includes Child Groups = Yes
Joomla 1.6: Please check that you have selected Primary User Group

Kunena Discuss creates hundreds of topics in Joomla 1.6+:
This issue usually relates to JomSocial content plugin that calls the Joomla! 1.5 event.
There's a quick fix for this:
