Hello,

I've noticed that forums are not marked as "Unread" after a new post has been made. We have gotten many sub-category's. And disabled the sub-category images at the forum index, also we have removed the sub-category by hand at the index.

Our forum is located here: www.tsportal.nl/index.php/forum/index

Is there any way around, so when a post has been made in a category it will always show up as unread?

Thx in advance.

Cix

You have set, in one of your integration options, to use uddeIM. Have you installed uddeIM and, if so, what version? You do not have a Kunena menu published; suggest that you publish the menu.

What are your settings for
  • Global Configuration » Server » Cache Settings » Cache
  • Global Configuration » Server » Session Settings » Session Lifetime
  • Forum Configuration » General » Basic Settings » Session Lifetime
Turn off server caching and make Global Configuration session lifefime (in minutes) the same as Kunena session lifetime (in seconds). If Kunena session lifetime is 1800 seconds, make Global sessions lifetime = 30 minutes.

Hi,

Thank you for your response.

Could you please explain: "You do not have a Kunena menu published; suggest that you publish the menu.", as I do not understand this? You mean I have to turn "on" all the menu's?

Our Global Configuration session lifetime is set as you recommended it. altough that still didn't work.

About uddeIM, we have removed this feature, as we weren't satisfied with it.

Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks.

See Kunena menu issues - these are some of our most commonly-asked (and answered) questions - for more information.

It would have been good to see the values you're using for the settings that I asked you about. As another question to you, what is the setting for
  • Global Configuration » Server » Session Settings » Session Handler

Did you similarly change the Kunena integration setting, too?
