Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

This category is only for reporting defects or problems with Kunena 1.6 test versions with Joomla 1.6. This is NOT a support forum - there is no support for test versions. Users should NOT install K 1.6 alpha or beta test versions on websites with live production data.

My sites has 2 menus

forum menu kunena

Normal menu with 1 button called forum wich directs to forum but


When i click a topic, the home button is highlighted instead of the forum button, wich makes it impossible to assign modules properly and stuff

anyone knows a fix? J1.6.1 and kunena 1.6.3

a) make sure your Kunena menu has "kunenamenu" as its unique name

b) make sure this menu contains at least one item with the alias "forum" (mine is a Menu Link that links to a different "Forum" entry in the Main Menu)

c) Create your menu structure in the Main Menu. Make sure the item you want to use as the "Forum" item is an "Entry Page" type.

a) and b) must exist in some form (an item called "forum" in a menu called "kunenamenu"). If they don't, you'll always get the problem you're describing.

By the way, Kunena 1.6.3 does not yet support Joomla 1.6 very well. You're better off waiting for Kunena 1.6.4, which is due out very soon.
