Can you post the URL that points directly at your Kunena forum, please? Then we can see what you mean by "I have no categories". Let's not worry about re-installing Kunena. There's no harm in re-installing Kunena but it may not address the problems that you seem to be having.

"I also realised that I don't have any Categories in the menu."

Do you mean you have nothing published in the "Kunena Menu"? So when you go to your Joomla back end go to under Menu. You should have one called "Kunena Menu" by default. Click the Kunena Menu.

Whats published there?

Hi,

Sorry for the misunderstood, I mean that I don't see the Categories in the menu of kunena. The kunena menu is published and we can see it, like in the screeenshoot. Just in a weird way, like the rest of the forum.

You can have a direct link to my forum via this :

Il n'y a pas de forum dans cette catégorie !

That's one of your problems. See Sections, Categories, sub-Categories (Part 1) . You need at least one section and one category in that section. When you install Kunena, the installation creates one section and two categories. You've deleted them and that is why you have the message "Il n'y a pas de forum dans cette catégorie !"

The other problem that you have is that your menu links are laid out in a vertical pattern instead being in a horizontal arrangement like here. That's a problem with your site template. See [Merged topic] Menu tabs display vertically

In your case, I would recommend uninstalling Kunena, drop all database tables jos_kunena_* and start again. If you've not used Kunena before, even if you don't like the way that it looks when it's first installed, resist the temptation to change things until you make sure that everything works properly.

Like you say, I drop all the table jos_kunena% and uninstall the kunena. But I still have the kunena component who doesn't want to be removed. I got this error:

JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file
Could not delete the administrator menus.
Component Uninstall: Can't uninstall. Please remove manually

Do I reinstalled anyways ?

I wrote, uninstall Kunena and then drop the tables. I did not write drop the tables and uninstall Kunena. It may not matter but I don't know what state your Joomla site is not in. Please remove component manually means just what is says. It means that you have to delete all the files in ../admininistrator/components/com_kunena and all the files and folders in ../components/com_kunena in you site.

The install Kunena again. Let us know if you have any problems installing Kunena again.
