The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0
This category is only for reporting defects or problems with Kunena 1.6 test versions with Joomla 1.6. This is NOT a support forum - there is no support for test versions. Users should NOT install K 1.6 alpha or beta test versions on websites with live production data.
Thanks for report, it's a known issues with languages files which are actually in deprecated format in k1.6.1, the next version k1.6.2 will fix the issue.

hi i did and indeed the install happens flawlessly.
unfortunately like i posted about an hour ago, i get error messages here and there (when trying to get the report for instance, or when trying to move a category)
