Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

This category is only for reporting defects or problems with Kunena 1.6 test versions with Joomla 1.6. This is NOT a support forum - there is no support for test versions. Users should NOT install K 1.6 alpha or beta test versions on websites with live production data.

* Deprecated install format (client="both"), use package installer in future
* Aborting language installation: Unknown Client Type [both]
* The Kunena forum could not be installed!

During upgrade RC2 to RC3 with Joomla 1.6

Any idea what I can do?

Remove Kunena and install new has no effect, only the same error

Unfortunately there are several issues in Joomla 1.6 that prevent Kunena 1.6 from working properly at the moment. We have been trying to keep pace but with every J1.6 Beta new issues occur. Once the first RC is released we will resolve any known issues.

The one you listed is the newest addition to J1.6 issues caused by the latest beta.

While we would like to make K1.6 work with every J1.6 beta it is too much of a moving target at the moment.

Once J1.6 goes into the RC series of builds (Release candidates) with no more functional changes, we will make sure that all issues are taken care of. Until then we are focusing on our own issues to make sure K1.6 installs and runs cleanly on J1.5

Something to do with this, not entirely sure how to apply it

Packages multi-installer
Must include an XML manifest where type="package"
A package is a zip of zip's

same deprecated info

FRESH (as in totally new) install of Joomla v1.6b10 and Kunena v1.6rc3

get the deprecated install format aborting language installation...
