It looks that the earlier line (57):
$usergroups = $this->acl_get_groups('users', $user->id);

.. did not return an array. The question is who is getting this error? Guests, normal users, admin?

Even more interesting would be to have answer, why the function returns NULL.. All users should belong into at least one group..

I am getting the error message when a user logs on. Right now I have three users for testing, and it is the same with all of them. Also, no categories are showing.

I am lost with this issue, suggestions appreciated.

So you see the issue just after user logs in, but not after that?

FYI: there's no need to use Jxtended integration anymore: just choose Joomla instead and look if it works.

How do I go about changing that?

When I open Kunena it says no categories available. If I log in, I get the error message.

I am really new at this, don't mean to ask silly questions.

I would first go to Kunena configuration and choose integration tab. There you can find access integration.. Just change value to Joomla, save and try again.
