Question Setting Public Access Levels

Setting Public Access Levels was created by Siknin
Hi! I am new to kunena and I am having issues.
I am use to using a forumotion and have recently opened a website and uploaded joomla and kunenea 1.6. I am having some issues and was hoping I could get some advice as it seems my admin options are limited and I am confused as to why I am running into some issues.
I have only had my forum and site up for a couple of days.I first noticed that i am having issues with groups I have created not being able to see the content in the specified group. I have a total of three groups. registered, group 1 and group 2
registered is working properly and allows people to see the initial forums of the site
group 1 is working for only a select few users.. I set the users up identically and some can see the content while others can not. I have checked everything I know to. I went to the catagories and double checked the group selection. I also checked the users and made sure they were allowed access to the specified groups. any help is appreciated
A few moment ago I noticed random members were all of the sudden being placed as site administrators. This just started happening and I am completely lost as to how this is happening but if I could get some trouble shooting assistance I would be greatly appreciative.
thank you,
'siknin

G'day, Siknin, and welcome to Kunena.
I understand that you have asked for help - and we will try out best to help - but we're not clairvoyant. So, can we take things, one step at a time.
What specific version of Kunena are we discussing? Have you read K 1.6 Installation Guide ?
What specific version of Joomla are we discussing?
What are these three "groups" that you are talking about?

I'm sorry but I don't know where you "went to the categories". How to use Kunena categories is covered in general terms in Sections, Categories, sub-categories (part 1)I went to the catagories and double checked the group selection.

Sorry i wasnt clear I am a little frustrated........
I am using joomla 1.6.3
I installed kunena 1.6.4
I have not installed anything else.
The Groups I am referring to are assigned in the permissions when creating a category.
I have read the installation guide however I admit I wasnt clear that i needed to install anything else.
thank you for your help

We are not suggesting that you install anything else.
Try to remain calm and let's try to figure out what is your problem ... together.
Did you change anything after you installed Kunena? You stated that you read the K 1.6 Installation Guide , and I assume that you took all the necessary precautions, but did you test that Kunena worked at any time?
When we talk about "creating a category", are we talking about Kunena categories or Joomla categories?
Can we give this topic a different subject instead of "I need help please!". Just about everyone who writes here needs help, in some way or another. Can you be more specific, please, about what problem you are having and how we might be able to fix it. Thank you.

I fixed the users being site admins in the global settings. thank you
now the groups...
more specific on the issue..
when i create a category it allows me to assign public access level. This is done by going into the settings menu when creating a category.
in joomla it allows you to create groups that appear in the drop down menu inside the kunena setting menu. you can assign a group or level here that is suppose to set a security level that allows only members of that group to view the forum in that selection.
I then assign a user to that group in the joomla user control panel.
some users can see the forum others cant .. users have identical settings

The site works fine and i have no issues with creating categories etc...you are welcome to visit it:
I have set up a user account for testing you are welcome to log in with...
The tester account is set up identical to some of the other users that can not see the forums posted under the parent category called "Dragon Pub" that is assigned to a joomla group I created and assigned the forum to in the setting in kunena catagories>settings
