Kunena 7.0.4 Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0
Question Joomla users and Kunena users difference
These are actually several related questions:
1
What is the difference between the users listed on the Joomla User Manager and the users listed in Kunena User Manager?
I have a few users in the Kunena list but many in the Joomla list but apparently all of them have registered by clicking on the Kunena “Create an Account” link since I have disabled the Joomla form to create an account.
2
I got an e-mail from a user saying she had not gotten the e-mail to activate the account. I had to activate it manually. I think this is a common problem between my potential users. How can I solve this? In the Joomla User Manager I have seen that most users have the “Receive System E-mail” disabled. Is this the problem?

It seams many of the registrations are are done by robots. I have lots if these fake users. They get registered and activated but fortunately (and I don't know why) never write in the forum. I'm using a captcha system but the captcha is only asked when non-registered users write a new post but not when new users try to register. How can I prevent these spay registrations?
I have Joomla 1.5.20 and Kunena 1.6.1
Many thanks

In a first time, i advise you to upgrade to Joomla 1.5.23 and kunena 1.6.3 and don't forget to make a backup before.
1°) The differences between two, is that kunena user manager has too the profile details, but you have the same users in the two lists
2°) This is more an issue with Joomla! itself and not with Kunena
3°) You can't enable captcha for registred user
I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

1) I think all my users in the Kunena list are also in the Joomla list but in the Joomla list I have lots of users that are not in the Kunena list. I don't know why. I think most of these users where created by robots.
3) I want the captcha to avoid robots to register and fill my Joomla list of users not to prevent postings from registered users. For example, how do you prevent robots from creating accounts in this forum?

This is off-topic to this discussion. How you prevent robots from registering on your website has nothing to do with Kunena. If you would like more information please read [Merged topic] How to protect my forum from spamfoton7 wrote: 3) I want the captcha to avoid robots to register and fill my Joomla list of users not to prevent postings from registered users. The reason why some accounts appear in the Joomla user table but not in the Kunena user table has to do with whether those accounts have actually been used with the Kunena forum. For example, if you register a new account, but never login, the account will be in the Joomla user table but will not be in the Kunena user table. Do you want all accounts in the Joomla user table to be in the Kunena user table?

No, I just wanted to understand the difference between the users in the Joomla and the Kunena lists. At some point I even guessed that the user accounts in Kunena and Joomla where different. It is clear now.Do you want all accounts in the Joomla user table to be in the Kunena user table?
Thank you
