Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Topics that are moved into this category are generally considered to be closed. Users may want to add additional information but these topics should not be resurrected in order to discuss new problems or unrelated matters.

Can we set rank system base on male and female?
male has one sets of ranking and female has one

eg:

male: boy, man, hero, knight
female : girl, woman, lady, queen

Well, it's sort of possible but probably not possible to automate the ranking based on gender. You could manually assign different ranks to individual users.

On a completely off-topic note, however, in this age of gender equality, perhaps it's better to not have stereotyped roles based on gender. Some people may actually feel that such indiscriminate uses of gender-based roles are, in fact, offensive. For example, these days men and women may both be referred to as actors (instead of the actors and actresses) or waiters (instead of waiters and waitresses) or sovereign (instead of king or queen).

Rather than assigning ranks (or roles) based only on gender, I think it would be preferable to assign such things based on merit - the contribution that your members make to your website. If you marginalise people based on age, ethnicity, sex, religious beliefs or some other arbitrary values then you're more likely to alienate blocs of users instead of trying to bring them together.
