Hi,

I'm busy building a site (not online yet) and have suddenly run into a problem of not being able to edit my user profile in the frontend.

The buttons on the edit page do not display properly and are not clickable.

Also when just viewing the profile the buttons are not clickable.

I have recently installed joomfish, K2 and hotelguide.

Have played around with kunena template but it does not seem to make a difference.

I'm using an artisteer generated template for the site, but have used an earlier version of the same template with Kunena and it worked fine.

Also I cannot seem to delete the Welcom to Kunena topic in the welcome mat. Just gives me: 500 - No valid database connection:

Thanks in advance for any help!

Regards,
Willie

Hard to guess what the problem might be without being able to view the site...

I'm not sure where to begin with this problem (or bunch of problems) but one thing stands out bigger than all the rest of them:

I don't think it's going to matter tinkering around the edges if the very foundation of the website is unstable.

So, this is my suggestion. Read, very carefully the K 1.6 Installation Guide and create your test site as shown in that guide. Let us know how you progressed with your test site. Let us know if you could delete the "Welcome to Kunena" test message. After we have clearly established that you have a rock-solid Joomla 1.5.22 foundation with a working version of Kunena installed as the most second thing that you added, then we can concern ourselves with the other things that are going wrong. Does that sound like a workable plan to you, Willie?

Hi guys,
Same problem here. I can't edit profile from frontend, the buttons are simply missing. I attached a screenshot. I tried with different templates, same problem.

It is a new (localhost, xampp) configuration: Joomla 1.5.22, Kunema 1.6.3, also installed K2.

I read those links. As I couldn't find plugin System - Mootools12 in my installation (enabled or disabled) - it should be there? - I activated plugin System - Mootools Upgrade. And now is working fine.
Thanks.
