A user profile on my website shows ALL posts of the user. I dont like this because eventually the User profile will be Huge (Full of Posts). I would like it to show only 4 of the more recent posts of user.

What is the specific support issue involved in this topic?

Look at me (as an example) as a user of this forum with over 7,000 messages. What is the problem here at www.kunena.org , for example. Please show us how there is a problem here at this website and then we might better understand the support issues that you seem to need answering.

Thank you. :)

Im sorry... Im confused. Is this the support forum for Kunena 1.6? If not, could you please move this topic to the correct forum. In my website which you can see above.. Users post on the forums and their USER PROFILES show these posts. This is great, however, it displays ALL posts (which in turn makes their user profile bloated). I would like it to show ONLY THE 4 MOST RECENT POSTS a user has posted. and if users want to see more (they may click the more button on the bottom)

I would like to know if I could limit the posts shown to 4.

I am saying that, as a user of this forum, I have over 7000 messages. When I look at my profile page on this site, don't see all 7000+ messages listed on one page; the listing ( www.kunena.org/forum/latest/userposts ) is shown in segments of 30 messages at a time. Therefore, the maximum that is shown on this page is only 30 messages (even though I have 258 pages of messages).

So, if I put it to you that you limit the number of messages to, say, 4 per page, and if you have posted 7000 messages, for example, you will only see 4 per page but there will be 1650 pages of messages! Do you understand what I am saying?

Are you asking to show only the last 4 messages posted by a user? What if a user wants to see something that was older than that?

I understand that you are saying that, in your case, seeing 30 messages per page is a bit of a page "bloat". What I am saying is that this is a standard feature of Kunena. In what way is this standard feature not working for you. In other words, what is the issue as far as support - i.e. fixing something that's "broken" - is concerned?

Please see the guide to posting questions about support at the top of this page. Thank you. :)

Oh sorry, I did not know that the limit was 30. I thought the number of posts shown were unlimited(all posts of user).and in turn would have bloated the user profile.

I feel better now.I will keep this standard feature. Thanks for the help!

That's fine. I had a feeling that you were asking a "how does it work" question instead of a "I think it's broken" question. It's was a good question and, to be honest, I didn't know the answer myself until I looked closer at it.

We want to make sure that Kunena is as error-free as best as it possibly can ... that's why we have the Support category. Your question was more of a general nature. I've now moved this topic to a more appropriate category. It's good to know that everything works the way that it's supposed to. B)

Cheers
