Hello,

I've been searching around if kunena has some kind of commenting system integrated for use with joomla articles... However, to no avail, my only lead is yes if used with jomsocial.

I'm wondering if kunena has its own comments system? If not maybe I'll using jcomments with kunena...

Also, is there a PM feature available for kunena 1.6?

Happy Holidays

There's a Kunena Discussion plugin that ties into Joomla articles, which you can use as a comment system.

K1.6 comes with messaging.

Sorry if I'm being dumb here - how does the PM system work - is it built into 1.6 ? The config in my site is set to "Auto detect" ... and has a few greyed out options ... do I need to install a 3rd party product?

Thanks

Rob

The answer to PM will be found, soon enough, by searching for them. You might try searching for topics with "private message" in the subject . That's what I would do. ;)

That's not a very helpful answer - I did the search before my post (which is how I found the post from jdenver) BUT the results were unclear in terms of how it worked and what was required.

However, installing UdelIM worked - and apart from the appearance of an icon that is the subject of another post it seems to work OK.

It may be worth remembering that there are a lot of people with the "content and marketing" knowledge for what a website needs to achieve but that they lack the intimate technical knowledge that the developers have .... but perhaps don't disseminate clearly.

Whatever - thanks for the prompt response - it all seems to work very well for my site
