Hey guys,

I will just cut to the case:

1. How to set the categories page as the main one of my forum?
2. How to make the "start topic" button visible only inside each category view?
3. I'm having troubles fixing a problem with the Kunena Latest module. I'm talking about the green text under each new posts showing up just for some few members of the forum, and not even to admin..

Here you can see it:

That's all. Please help me.

It's going to be difficult answering all three questions in this one topic - and that's why we don't encourage people starting topics with vague subjects that have the potential to wander all over the place because it makes it very hard for others who may be looking for this information. So I am going try to respond to each question separately.

How to set the categories page as the main one of my forum? This is a tough question to answer because it's unclear what you mean by the "main category". If you mean, how do give one category more prominence than any other category, there are several ways you can do that.

You could customise your Kunena menu, allocate a tab and just point that tab to the category.

You could reorder your categories around so that the one you want to be the "main" one will appear first, among all the other categories.

You could put a link on your home page, that takes your users directly to the "main" category.

I'm sure you can think of a few other ways you could achieve the ideal result. Unfortunately, because I can't actually see your website, I can't really give you anything more than just general advice.

How to make the "start topic" button visible only inside each category view? There is a New Topic tab (on the menu at the top of the page) and, within each category there is a New Topic button. If you only want people to use the button, you can remove the New Topic tab by using customising the Kunena menu. See Customised Menus .

I hope this answers your question.

I do not know how to answer any of your questions about the Kunena Latest module here. Please use the separate category for asking those questions: Kunena Latest Posts (M)

Thank you.

Sorry for not being clear, I meant that I want to setup the forum so when people enter it, first thing they see is the categories page, not the "last topics" as it is now.

#2 - Your link is dead.

#3 - Ok, thx for pointing it out.

You wrote "Categories page" and ... well, we now know that you mean the Index. Mixup in communication. Thanks for clearing things up.

This is a fairly common question. Here's an answer. If you are having troubles with the menu, you should go to the Joomla Menu Manager and find your Forum item from it. Find the item that is of type "Kunena Forum » Entrypage", edit the item and change Default Menu Item to "- Index".
