Hello Kunena Forum,

I have installed K 1.6 and I´m very happy with it. It is just like a forum should be!

But my members found out, that it is possible to read a "Editor" only category with all entries, just by entering the URL of the category. It is not possible to write in this category, but everybody can read everything. I also think google can read this category (everybody does, so why google should not be able to do so) and this should not be so, because this category is private and confidential.

Question: Is there a possibility that only logged-in "Editors" can read this category?

Thank You for Your reply!

Best Regards

Just go to the categorie manager, klick on the forum you want to limit the access to, chose the settings tab and select at the public accesslevel the editor. If you also want Publishers to access this forum you should set the next option to yes.
It could be that you have to log out all users through administration (don't know if this normal but after relogging in it worked for me).

Thank you haithun,

the settings you are descriping are already set.... but: I thought by changing the access of a forum I automatic change the access of the category which is in this parent forum.

So it is solved! Thank you very much!
