Question [Answered] online/offline question

It always shows everyone in my forum as online whether they are online or not? Is this a bug or something to do with joomla settings?

I believe that you have this issue at your website but I've never encountered the situation myself. I have never seen the situation here at Kunena.com, either. It may be a session limit setting on your site that's keeping your users online when they aren't really online. What is your Joomla session limit? While we're at it, can you also post your Kunena configuration report, please?

My session limit is set at 4500 minutes. Maybe that's the problem? What should it be set at?

Yes that session limit would be the problem 4500 minutes is a looooong time, as in 75h or over 3 days.

Its the session limit the determines what Joomla considers an active (aka online) session.

Many places set that to 30-90 min.

Not sure when I changed the session limit to such a high number but I changed it back to the default joomla setting (15 minutes) and now all is well. The server wasn't logging anyone out at the high number. Thanks for the help.
