Question Image Tag not working in new install of Kunena 1.7.1

Hello!

I've just set up a new Joomla 1.7.3 / Kunena 1.7.1 site, and imported my forums from SMF. So far, so good. :)

All of the posts and signatures came over, but for some reason, none of the images linked using the IMG tag are displaying. The code is present, and I can see it when I edit the posts / my signature, but the picture doesn't show up on the forum.

I've created a new post from scratch and linked an image - the same issue is happening.

Any idea what may be causing this? I have the option to *upload* images turned off (I don't want people uploading libraries of pics to my server), but this shouldn't affect linked images.

Thank you!

I see, from your configuration report, that you have not used the standard Kunena menu on your site. I suggest that you look at standardising the way you're running Kunena and restore the menu. See How do I restore my Kunena menu?

I don't know why the [img] tag is not working on your site. Perhaps you should look at what BBcode is being used as to the cause of this problem that you seem to be having. Can you point to an example where a message, containing an image, is not working properly, please?

Hm, the menu is there, I actually restored it last night at one point. I haven't altered it in any way, but I'll look at emptying the menu trash.

Here's a link: www.knightrealms.com/forum/Event-Highlig...ed-an-Avatar%21.html

The first post in the thread is mine - there should be two images in the signature. The BB code for my sig is:

Father Gideon Weaveforger
Master of the Arms

"Fire, Water, Earth, and Sky!  Mysteries surround us, Legends never die..."

Repeated, using <img> instead of square brackets:

Father Gideon Weaveforger
Master of the Arms

The code's working here, so that leads me to believe it should be working on my install as well.

Is it possible I did something to my CSS while building out my forum?

Thank you for all your help!

CSS should not have no bearing on the BBcode parser working properly. More likely scenarios involve the possibility of using CSS/Javascript code aggregators, but I don't think these apply in your situation.

It's possible that the Kunena template you've chosen could be the cause. What happens if you use the Blue Eagle template instead?
